Do I need a passport to cruise with Royal Caribbean?
Passports are Best
A passport is the best ID document for travel. Make sure yours doesn't expire for 6 months after your cruise ends.
Caution: Birth Certificates
U.S. Citizens can cruise with a U.S. birth certificate on most sailings from the U.S. But your birth certificate needs to meet the requirements.
Names Must Match
If you've had a name change, and the name used across your documents does not match, you will need to take an extra step.

The price of your cruise vacation includes:

What is Royal Caribbean's service gratuities (tips) price and policy?
A gratuity of $18-20.50 per person, per day will be automatically added to your onboard account.
As of November 11, 2023*, the automatic service gratuity of $18.00 USD per person, per day for guests in non-suites staterooms and Junior Suite, or $20.50 USD per person, per day for guests in Suites, will be applied to each guest’s SeaPass account on a daily basis. The gratuity applies to individual guests of all ages and stateroom categories. As a way to reward our crew members for their outstanding service, gratuities are shared among dining, bar & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants and other hotel services teams who work behind the scenes to enhance the cruise experience.
Are there special prices for single guests on Royal Caribbean?
No, solo guests will pay for the full cabin rate.
If pricing is promoted as “double occupancy” the full cabin rate has been divided between 2 guests.
How much is a drinks package on Royal Caribbean?
Pricing varies based on package type
- Deluxe Beverage Package: $55 to $105 per person per day
- Royal Refreshment Package: $29 per person per day
- Soda Package: $12.99 per person per day
- Water Package: 12 bottles for $39; 24 bottles for $69
- Coffee card: $31 per card
