Family Travel & Vacations

Family Vacations Should Feel Like Vacations

Traveling with kids can be incredible. It can also involve a lot more moving parts.

The right hotel room matters. Flight times matter. How far you have to walk matters. Whether there’s actually something your kids will eat matters. And an itinerary that sounds perfect on paper can feel very different when you’re traveling with a tired six-year-old or a teenager who has absolutely no interest in another museum.

That’s where we come in.

We plan family vacations around the people actually taking them, from young children and teens to grandparents joining a multigenerational trip. Sometimes that means a resort where everyone can easily do their own thing. Sometimes it’s a cruise, a European adventure, Alaska, a theme park vacation, or something completely different.

The goal isn’t to pack more into your vacation. It’s to make the vacation work better for your family.

We Travel With Our Families, Too

Some of our best travel experiences have happened with our own families. We’ve navigated Europe with kids, taken them on safari, explored Alaska, cruised together, tackled theme parks, and learned firsthand that the trip adults imagine isn’t always the trip their children need.

That experience changes the way we plan.

We think about the things that are easy to overlook when you’re looking at a beautiful hotel or an exciting itinerary. How much downtime is built in? Is everyone going to be comfortable in the room? Does the location make your days easier or harder? Is there enough for different ages and interests? And is the itinerary realistic for the family actually taking it?

Because a great family vacation shouldn’t just look good on paper. It should feel good while you’re living it.
