At Travel Brilliant, we’ve been staying up-to-date on destinations that our clients can safely travel to throughout the current pandemic. Now that more flight routes are beginning to start up again, we want to make sure that YOU know where you can visit. As a travel company, we understand that some of our clients may not feel comfortable traveling, but we also want to make sure those with the travel bug know where they can safely venture to. Since mid-August, the State Department has lifted the Level 4: Do Not Travel Advisory. While the list is much longer of where you can technically visit, we wanted to round up a few of our favorite international destinations where our hotel partners are ready to welcome you!

*Note that the below information has been gathered from trusted sources; however, please find links to the Embassy pages for the most up-to-date information for traveling to each location. Restrictions are constantly changing and we would be happy to verify all information for those looking to travel!

CROATIA

CROATIA

One of the only destinations in the EU that opted to open its borders to US citizens this summer, Croatia remained a well-traveled location. For travelers looking to soak in the last bit of warm weather, September still boasts temperatures in the high-70s. US citizens are able to visit Croatia with proof of reservation at a hotel or other accommodation. Visitors need to provide a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48hrs prior to arrival and fill out an entry form with the Croatian National Tourist Board.

For those looking to travel to Europe next summer, allow Andiamo to charter a private yacht for you to explore all that Croatia has to offer. With private accommodations and your own crew, you can relax on the high seas and make stops in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik as well as smaller villages along the way.

FRENCH POLYNESIA

FRENCH POLYNESIA

For those looking for the ultimate in privacy and seclusion, look no further than Tahiti and Bora Bora. The destination opened its borders to tourists starting this July 15. There are over 118 islands that make up French Polynesia and there is definitely plenty of spacious crystal clear waters to be discovered. Travelers visiting will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test 72hrs prior to departure as well as purchase a travel insurance policy.

MALDIVES

MALDIVES

Travelers to the Maldives must have a confirmed booking and submit an online health declaration form within 24hrs prior to departure. While visitors do not need to provide negative COVID-19 test results, the airlines that will get you from the US to Male will require proof of a negative test. For a luxurious airline experience, we recommend an Emirates flight that stops through Dubai.

MEXICO

MEXICO

While the land border remains closer between the US and Mexico, there are no restrictions for travelers flying from the US to favorite vacation hotspots, such as Quintana Roo (Cancun, Maya Riviera, Mayakoba), Jalisco (Puerto Vallarta) or THE Baha Peninsula (Cabo). Hotels and restaurants in these areas are able to operate at 50% capacity, providing travelers and hosts a comfortable setting for much needed R&R.

We are excited to announce that there is now a direct flight from JFK to SJD for all of our New Yorkers who have been itching to experience all that Cabo has to offer, but without the hassle of a connecting flight. Starting December 17, 2020

The island reopened to international tourists on June 4, but starting July 9th they now require travelers to provide negative COVID-19 test results taken within 7-days before arrival. There is a pre-arrival registration form and a symptom check on arrival. Hotels on Saint Lucia must receive a COVID-19 certificate that ensures visitors that hotel is complying with all sanitization protocols, social distancing and more.
