TRAVEL TIPS

Parking

Exploring Los Angeles, a sprawling city of wide boulevards and five-lane freeways, requires a car. Though you might stroll Rodeo Drive on foot or amble along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to get from one part of town to another, you’ll need wheels. Thankfully, there’s street parking in most areas (read signs carefully as some neighborhoods are by permit only) and many public parking lots are free for the first hour or two. Though a few hotels have free parking, most charge for the privilege, and some resorts only have valet parking, with fees as high as $50 per night.
